Hi Everyone I can’t believe that our trip is only 6 days away. Here are some notes from our Louisville Mission Trip meeting.

When are we packing?

We will pack the Vans on Sunday June 7^th at 8:30am

When are we leaving?

We are leaving as soon as we are done packing  so everyone needs to be in the Church parking lot by 8:15am

What fun activity will we be doing?

We will be going to the Kentucky Derby Museum & The Louisville Slugger Plant

How much money do they need?

Plan on 2 meals on the road and $12.00each  for the Museums Plus Youthworks sells t-shirts so they may want one of those the cost for them are usually $20.00

$60.00 should be more than enough

Where are we staying?

Grace Community Covenant Church

Will we be showering?

At a local Y.M.C.A so they might want to bring bathing suits to shower in

What’s the dress code?

Dress Code

What NOT to bring:

Tank tops

Shirts with spaghetti straps

Tube tops

Baggy pants that fall off your waist

Short shorts!

no soffee shorts!

No Yoga Pants

What kind of clothes should I bring?

Work clothes

Bring clothes that can get dirty! Some of us will be working with paint and outside, so be prepared!

Gym shoes

Swimsuits

No Speedos!

Girls must bring one-piece bathing suits

*If girls bring two piece bathing suits please bring a dark T-Shirts to wear over suits

What else should we bring?

•           Sleeping bag/and Air Mattress or a small folding cot

•           Pillow

•           Flash Light

•           Shower Shoes

•           Toiletries

•           Towel

•           Deodorant

•           Sunblock

•           Water bottle

•           Pen

•           Bible

•           Positive Attitude

What not to bring

Hair Dryers, Hair Straighteners, Curing Irons, ect. are not allowed!

Please do not bring any iPods, Portable DVD players, or Cell Phones! This will not only ensure that these items are not stolen or lost, but it helps the group focus on the real meaning behind the trip and the opportunity to move away from all the distractions of everyday life. Any of these items that are found by a leader will be taken and returned when we get back home. All the leaders will have cell phones to use, if necessary.

How can we stay in touch with the trip?

We will have a blog up on the Living Lord web site to keep you up to date on what we are doing

 Anything Else?

We need at least 2 shop vacs on Friday, June 12th between 3 and 4 pm when we return so we can clean out the vans
